Makita BDF451
After doing lots of research on the internet and on consumer reviews I made the decision I'd spend the additional money and get Makita BDF451 to make use of throughout the house. Overall I'm able to say that i'm very pleased with the drill.
It's very light (in comparison to my old dewalt) because of the LI battery it has. This I've discovered is essential when focusing on a task for additional a couple of minutes. Plus if you don't have lots of strength less strain is going to be you should get some wrist and shoulder.
Another plus for this drill is when rapidly it recharges battery. They provide you with an extra so that you can swap them out but it's nice to continually come with an extra so that you can keep focusing on employment without needing to wait for a battery to recharge.
Overall quality is excellent. My only compaint is the fact that there appears to become some slipage from the clutch. I don't know if this sounds like because I've it around the wrong setting or if this sounds like because of the drill being defective..

Makita 5402NA
The Makita 5402NA can be a great saw for cutting bigger dimension material. I have tried personally the older saws which were gold colored plus they were pretty good but the 550d includes a better platform and changes.I've been cutting 16/quarter mahogany with this particular saw and it doesn't bog in a reasonable cutting speed. The edge that accompany the saw is decent, however,I bought a 60 tooth edge (Amana), from the local tool supply for around $130 which edge cuts just a little softer.
The only real factor that I didn't like relating to this saw may be the safety button. It's tough to push using the fringe of your thumb I modified mine having a half-inch ebenholzfarben plug epoxied into it. It appears enjoy it originated from the factory like this and it is, for me, far better to use.
